I have been slacking on blogging lately. But I have been BUSY! This week was supposed to be a relaxing week off from studying. I had hoped to leave work and spend some extra time in the gym before coming home and vegging out on the couch or grabbing dinner with friends. Well…that hasn’t happened. I have been working late and have juuuust barely made it to the gym this week before shutting down the place. The gym closes at 11 pm.
On Monday, I did a great elliptical workout. On Tuesday, I was going to wake up early, but since I worked late and didn’t get home until late, that wasn’t a possibility, I needed sleep! After work wasn’t an option on Tuesday either because the partner in my department at work was giving away Phillies tickets and I got one! Even though the Phils lost and it was freezing, the game was very fun!
On Wednesday, I did 5.5 miles on the treadmill because I didn’t want to run so late at night outside. I am also a little fearful of running outside now since my fall! Eek! The run was very difficult and it made me think back to the days where I did 5-7 miles 6 days/week like there was nothing to it! I think I might start running more than just 3 days a week. I don’t want to over do it and end up injured, but sometimes I miss my daily run!
Tonight, I wanted to run again. Sitting at my desk all day made me want to run fast! I was talking to Vic on my walk to the gym and I told her I wanted to run, but I ran the day before. She said “so run!”. So that’s what I did! I only had about 40 minutes to run before the gym closed, and decided on 3 miles (finished in about 27 minutes). Then I raced back down to the locker room to grab my stuff.
I made it home around 11 after a very long day and packed for a fun trip to NYC this weekend! Friday I am seeing Mike and Erica, two friends from my study abroad trip to Rome, I haven’t seen Erica since we were in Italy!!! Saturday I am celebrating one of my high school best friend’s birthdays!
Yes I’m wearing the same outfit in both of these pictures. I just spent way to much time looking at my Italy pictures, but summer of my life.
I can’t wait for the weekend!
