Today I got a second shot at a Phillies game. It was an afternoon game for work, which made for a very nice day! As soon as we got to our seats it started to drizzle and I thought we were in for another yucky weather day. But soon the drizzling stopped and it was a perfect day for a baseball game. We had excellent seats.
At one point my co worker and I almost got hit by a ball! I swear I saw my life flash before my eyes. We were laughing because everyone else around us tried to catch the ball while we ducked 😛 It ended up bouncing off the guy’s thumb who was in the row behind us and then it flew a few more rows back. Oh well, would have been cool to catch a ball, but glad I wasn’t knocked out by one!
Yesterday I did an upper body work out. I’m loving strength training! Today I was going to do a HIIT run, but was a little too tired after the game and passed out for a few hours after. Oh well, tomorrow has a lower body work out on the agenda, should be good! Then after work I’m going up to Hoboken to visit my favorite person 🙂
And now…the great debate. I have been going back and forth (and back and forth…) on whether or not to do the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in September. I did the race last year and I wasn’t a huge fan of training in the summer, but ultimately it was a very fun race. Tonight one of my friends texted me asking if I would do it with her. The only thing is she will probably finish it 30 minutes faster than me, so it wouldn’t really be running it together (unless I figure out a way to cut my mile time by 2-3 minutes in the next 3 months 😛 ). Anyway, I’m not sure I want to do it. I’m feeling burnt out from longer distances and have really been enjoying shorter runs and strength training. But, I also love the feeling of crossing the finish line…hmmm decisions, decisions….
Also, here’s one more picture from after the Warrior Dash from another camera.
All the pictures that I took (in the other post) were from a water proof disposable camera, which we were very happy we had for proof that we actually did it.
